David Beckham is alleged to have become embroiled in a heated row with Chelsea's vice-president after celebrating a PSG goal on Wednesday evening.
The former Paris Saint Germain midfielder was invited to Stamford Bridge as a guest of the club's Qatari owners to watch their Champions League second leg tie with Chelsea.
As reported earlier this week, the former England captain is currently trying to persuade the French club’s Qatari owners to invest in his MLS franchise in Miami.
Beckham still holds a special place in his heart for the Parisian club after making 12 appearances for the Ligue Un leaders before retiring in the summer of 2013.
The global icon watched the match from the Chelsea director's box along with his son Brooklyn Beckham, where the incident is understood to have taken place.
According to a report in the Times, Chelsea vice president Joe Hemani took issue with the 40-year-old's over-exuberant celebrations after PSG's first goal.
"Chelsea confirmed that an incident took place, but the club and Hemani deny that he used any rude language or gestures insisting that he merely told the Beckhams to calm down," the report read.
It has been reported that the two parties exchanged words at half-time, although there were no further exchanges between them for the remainder of the game.
Goals from Adrien Rabiot and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were enough to eliminate Chelsea at the last 16 phase of the Champions League for the second year running.
