Recovering Falcao rejoins Chelsea training

The Colombia striker has not played since October for the Blues but was delighted to be back in the swing of things at Cobham following an extended absence

Radamel Falcao has rejoined his Chelsea team-mates in training as he continues his battle to return to turn around a nightmare season at Stamford Bridge.

Falcao has made just nine Premier League appearances for the Blues and has completed 90 minutes on only one occasion, a 3-1 defeat to Southampton.

His last outing came on October 31 but the 30-year-old was in an optimistic mood as he shared his participation at Cobham after overcoming a number of setbacks in his recovery from a thigh injury.

"Training day at Cobham," the striker wrote on Twitter, accompanied by several stills of exercises under the watchful gaze of Guus Hiddink.

The Colombia international was beaming as he fought for the ball against Chelsea new boy Alexandre Pato, who is still waiting to make his Blues debut after joining the club in January.
