Olivier Giroud looking forward to Vardy competition

Olivier Giroud celebrates after scoring the second goal for Arsenal\

Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud believes Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy would be a fantastic addition to the Gunners squad.

Oliver Giroud has told Sky Sports that he is looking forward to the competing for a place in the starting eleven with Jamie Vardy and that the Englishman wants to join the club.
Giroud is one of the players whose position at Arsenal could be under threat from the arrival of England forward Vardy.

The Leicester City man scored 24 goals and helped to inspire his side to unprecedented Premier Leaguesuccess.
Speaking after France’s dismantling of Scotland last night, Giroud said he has been told that Vardy is keen on the switch to the Emirates stadium, and that it would be good news for the Gunners.
“I have been told that he Jamie wants to join us," he said. "Its very good news for us. As I've said in the past, I'm happy with competition
"We've always had fantastic strikers at Arsenal. I want the best for this club, so hopefully he is going to help us win this title."
Giroud scored twice as France beat Soctland in their final warm up game before Euro 2016.
The Arsenal forward has had to put up with derision from the French crowds, who are unhappy that Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema will not make this year’s tournament following his alleged blackmail scandal with Mathieu Valbuena.
But Giroud has been proving his doubters wrong, scoring seven goals in his last seven games for the national side.
His good form may also be a message to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, as he seeks to reiterate his value to the club with the impending arrival of England star Vardy.
