Leicester resigned to losing Riyad Mahrez to Barcelona this summer.

Such has been his quality this season, Riyad Mahrez is a serious contender for player of the year, regardless of where Leicester finish.
The Algerian playmaker has taken the Premier League by storm this season, with his goals and assists helping propel the Foxes to the top of the table.

And with that has come attention from Europe’s top clubs.
According to the Mirror, the Leicester hierarchy are becoming resigned to losing the Algerian to Barcelona this summer.
They’re planning to sit him down for contract extension talks, but realistically, they believe their chances of keeping him away from Barcelona’s clutches are looking slim.
It’s amazing how quickly things can develop in football: when talk of interest from Barcelona for Mahrez first surfaced back in September, it was met with bafflement and incredulity.
Just 6 months later, and the Barcelona talk has to be taken very seriously.
