ROMA have reportedly told Chelsea they want £40million for midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has targeted the Belgian as a key part of the new team he intends to build at Stamford Bridge.
And the Blues reportedly opened talks with Roma over a summer deal for the midfielder this week.
However the Daily Mirror claim Chelsea are unwilling me meet the £40m they were quoted for the 27-year-old.
The report adds the Blues see the valuation as too high because Nainggolan will be 28 by the start of next season.
When asked about linking up with Conte at Chelsea, the midfielder told Italian outlet Il Tempo: "I haven't heard from anyone yet, I don't even know if it's true that they want me.
"If they call me, am I not supposed to talk? At the moment I am giving everything for Roma, as I always have done. I am happy, my family is too, so even if I continued my career here, I'd be happy."
