Jaime Vardy named Premier League Player of the Season

Leicester City's star striker, Jaime Vardy, has been named the Premier League's Player of the Season just a week after his side won the league title.

Vardy is also chasing the league's golden boot award, sitting just one goal behind England teammate Harry Kane, who has 25 goals, with one game remaining on Monday morning.
Leicester face a visit to last years champions, Chelsea, while Tottenham travel to the relegated Newcastle United.
Vardy was voted Player of the Year by the Football Writers' Association and was named in the Professional Footballers' Association team of the year but Leicester's Algeria international winger Mahrez won the PFA Player of the Year award.
